School of Dragons shut down on June 30 on dejected players kickstart Change.org petition to rescue game

JumpStart Games’ School of Dragons is a game that combines roles with the popular animated film How to Train Your Dragon. As a matter of fact, the game has not won any audience since its release.

Recently the developers made an announcement saying they are completely dissipping support for the game and that the servers will be completely shut down on June 30 and 2023.

Besides this, the saved-game progress, in-game items, and all user data will be unavailable after this date.

However, looking at the reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) it seems to be that this news has not been well received by fans. They have dedicated so many years to this game and can’t believe it’s actually shutting down.

Players add that game puts a special order in their hearts. Others claim it is part of their childhood and that there are still loyal players who cherish it.

These are terribly bad news for all those who have purchased memberships or gems recently from the game store. To begin to enjoy this game, they only have few days remaining.

Some of the victims say that it is disheartening to see the game go, and it holds tremendous value for them. They also said they would like to enjoy playing the game until it’s available.

Another gamer claims they have never played such a game before.

I think I would have let players download their characters and dragons and the game allowing players to play it in offline mode as is or host their own servers. I think it’s really disappointing that people who spent money will have completely lost out. I don’t want to lose my dragons in this game. Source

It’s important to note that the rumors of the closure of the game are also there in May. As per the report, it was being speculated that JumpStart could be shut down by its Chinese owner in a lawsuit filed by Neopets.

However, the players are still optimistic and believe they can prevent the School of Dragons from being shut down; and, by the way, they began a petition on Change.org.

Notably, the majority of 783 players signed the petition at that time.
