Players vow to resist after official Pokemon tournaments fall apart in Asia

They will never be silenced.

The Pokemon Company (TPC) aims to make the players heard voice in the past, in the context of recent tournament bans and disqualifications for their games.

Just yesterday four top players from Korea have now gone from being disqualified from their national tournament to being permanently banned from future Pokemon Korea (TPCK) events. After all, they agreed to protest injustices on their circuit by bringing Metronome-only teams to the final stages of the Pokemon Trainers Cup. Since Metronome randomly selects a move for the user, the winner would’ve been ignored instead of thinking and drawing.

The moves luck-based nature is in the form of the Asian circuit. Many Asian circuits use single-elimination qualification, which features larger variances than the best-of-three format used by the rest of the world. This is what matters in a good-bye class. It doesn’t feel the same, but it’s unlikely to decide any kind of luck in the matches.

The VGC acted on the metronome protest. Several players mentioned the possibility of bringing their own Metronome teams to Worlds, while one player has already brought the team to Milwaukee Regionals last weekend.

There are several people spreading the word with the drawing by Takato Utsunomiya, Chief Operating Officer of the Pokémon Company (PPC), which says that many players from Asia will play an active role in this film.

Unfortunately, it seems like TPC is doing the opposite of what the COO had hoped. They are increasing competitive competition in Asia instead of encouraging them to quit their circuit. Many players in Asia feel disrespected for the whole situation.

The image was taken from Taiwan National Championships by Chien-Chien Tsai, who made it to the top 8 of the tournament. The player also named the Pokemon team after issues within the circuit.

Plus, players plan to make stickers and clothes with their design to convey their point into TPC. According to Tsai, the text on the back of the shirt makes it impossible, which was the response of the TPC at Taiwan Nationals. Nevertheless, the player has tried to vocalize their frustrations.

I’m the one who is a VGC-speaking person. You can tell me why I made Justin. Since there are a lot of things happening in Asia’s Nationals, we intend to make this image on clothes and stickers.I’ll bring some stickers to WCS, please find me and pick one. pic.twitter.com/wZP5R1FrLrs.

Taiwanese player Yang-Jie Huang intends to bring these stickers to the World Championships in Japan in August. Worlds should be the ideal place to hear the TPC, but the possibility of some more bans and disqualifications is higher.
