The Games Ratings and Administration Committee of South Korea (GRAC) and the Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Both parties will work together to bolster their preparations for the game title selection pool program. The only authority recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia is the AESF.

The 2021 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Thailand and the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou are the two Asian Games where it will become an official medal sport. The official ratings commission in South Korea is the GRAC. As a result of the MoU, GRAC becomes a part of a Task Force composed of industry experts and professionals which will ensure fairness, accessibility, legitimacy of contents, and transparency in the selection of esports titles played at all AESF-sanctioned tournaments in the future.

GRAC Chairperson, Lee Jae Hong, commented: We are very excited to be part of this initiative which plays a huge role in ensuring the integrity of esports at future competitions. I look forward to a fruitful collaboration which will pave the way for esports in being recognized on-par with other traditional sports on the biggest sporting stage. Title selection is important when the AESF is trying to push esports into traditional sporting world.

Partnering with GRAC should help ensure that the correct games are chosen and that the titles relate to future sporting events that will feature competitive gaming. The calendar for the year 2021.
