Blast.tv Paris Major, first Counter-Strike event streamed live on TikTok

The organiser of the event for the 2016 SEMFA Championships held in Paris. As part of the deal, the tournament will be streamed live on TikTok, the first time in a row the Counter-Strike event is featured on the platform. In order to bring esports, the team kept going for a long time.

The Esports scholastic organiser BLAST has partnered with social media platform TikTok to make the final of the last of the games, CS:GO, in Paris.

As part of the deal, the tournament will be streamed live on TikTok, the first time that Counter-Strike event is featured on the platform in this way.

In order to get esports fans closer to Paris Major, both entities will collaborate on a series of integrated and customised features on TikTok. According to a release, the decision was made after the dedicated hashtag for the BLAST.tv major, #BLASTTVMajor, surpassed 100 million views on the platform.

The BLAST.tv Major has 24 top players competing in CS:GO for the $1.25m 1m prize pool and the world’s best Counter-Strike team. The tournament will attract more than 50,000 fans in over 100 countries and 24 languages. Indeed, it was recently revealed that Skyesports will show the BLAST.tv Paris major in Hindi.

The TikTok experience for esports fans during Paris Major will include a dedicated page with unique perspectives and online reporters. New exclusives are being created as well, with popular personalities like LittleBigWhale, Raramuathra and SwammyXO among others.

Teaming up with TikTok will help fans better connect to the experience with a few integrated features and exclusive content on the platform.

The Boston Marathon Major 2023 signifies a significant shift for CS:GO, as the competition on Counter-Strike will progress to Counter-Strike 2, the newest instalment in the franchise. PGL will organise the inaugural CounterStrike 2 Major, scheduled to take place in Copenhagen.
